Originally from Córdoba, Argentina, Emi describes herself as a curious, patient, and resilient person. She is an avid talker, who finds it easy to dive into conversations and create meaningful connections. She moved to Barcelona in the summer of 2017, becoming one with the city, integrating with the local culture, language, and lifestyle. Emi is an As at walking you through your first steps in English. She focuses on breaking the ice, building confidence, and getting you comfortable in communicating regardless of mistakes. Emi is very dynamic, resourceful, and has a strong focus on how to develop communication skills on day-to-day scenarios. She will always keep you on your feet and motivated through her sparky personality. She would rather improvise through your doubts, than making a strict plan that must be followed. Do not despair though, she does have a plan, you just don’t know it!
Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, but raised in multiple countries, Nano describes himself as a dynamic, problem-solving, and reliable individual. He’s extremely energetic, and always hunting the positive outlooks in life. After living in 8 different countries, he decided to make Barcelona his home base, where he’s found warmth and a sense of community he’d been longing for. Nano started teaching in face-2-face and online environments in 2014, and since then has been developing his own teaching strategy and techniques focused on each of his student’s individual needs.

Nano is a native English and Spanish speaker that has been working as a language teacher for nearly 10 years now. He holds two certifications under the world TEFL commission, one with a strong focus in teaching young ones through theater and play, and the latter centered in teenagers and adults, as well as TOEFL test preparation. He has experience in writing academic articles, given his former master’s studies in Artificial Intelligence. He’s worked for several teaching language schools throughout his career, from which he’s created his own teaching methodology with structured foundations. Disclaimer: do not expect a serious, old-fashioned teacher, Nano is a goofball at its best.
Mady describes herself as a creative, caring and positive force in her community. She constantly wants to learn new things and discover new places. Mady believes she learns just as much from her students as they do from her. Mady loves to travel and can’t seem to stay put in one place. Perhaps you’ll travel to new countries each time you connect with her online. Born in the United States of America, Mady has lived in South Florida for most of her life. She loves to watch the sunset and paint on the beach. Mady moved to Madrid, Spain to teach English in 2020 and hasn’t looked back since.

She worked as a language assistant at Colegio Parque where she taught students English through games, theatre, song and dance, and conversation for 2 years! Mady now finds herself living in Barcelona where she feels most at home: near the ocean. Mady has been a certified teacher for 4 years specialising in teaching English as a Second language. She prepares her students for the Cambridge English Examinations such as Starters, Movers, Flyers, KET, PET, and the Advanced C1-C2 exams.
